Using comedy to better connect with others (especially grandkids!)
Looking for ways to have great conversations with your family, friends, or grandkids? This lighthearted improv workshop is designed just for you. In Improv Comedy for Everyday Talk, you’ll discover simple, fun techniques that make communication feel more natural, playful, and connected.
Through easy games, laughter, and group activities, you’ll learn how to:
  • Say “Yes, And…” to keep conversations moving
  • Listen deeply and respond with confidence
  • Add humor and creativity to everyday interactions
  • Build stronger connections with people of all ages
No acting experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play. By the end of 45 minutes, you’ll leave with new tools (and maybe a few new friends) to make everyday conversations more joyful and meaningful.

About the presenter
Rich Trombetta is a 35-year veteran of corporate America, having worked in various leadership roles at companies such as GE, Fidelity Investments, and Northeastern University. In 2006 he wrote a book called, "Mustard Doesn't Go On Corn! - How respect, openness, and a simple process for innovation can lead to go ideas." The book was featured in several prominent media outlets, and served as the foundation for his consulting company that focused primarily on innovative thinking and communication skills in the workplace. In addition to his corporate work, he started his own non-profit and partnered with other community organizations to raise enough money to buy 30,000 backpacks for homeless children in Boston. Some of his passions are sports, TV, and movies, and he believes we can learn most things in life from "Seinfeld," "Saturday Night Live," and comedy. He has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a master's degree in educational technology from Teachers College at Columbia University, and a master's degree in journalism from Northeastern University (he likes to learn).
